Using GIS sources, DSE is able to recreate towns which faithfully represent the look and feel of the original town, from its major buildings to industrial areas, suburbs and vegetation.

For example, we have recreated the Karoo town of Oudtshoorn, including all its major buildings – schools, churches, hospitals and its central business district – and its suburb densities, houses and vegetation.

Our artists use bi-directional import and export functionality, to build towns (buildings, roads, significant objects) in Softimage XSI and export it to earthworks. This flexibility allows us to build up large areas.
